Licensing Explained

How Licensing for LinkMagic Works -

Demo Mode:

Prior to purchasing a license of LinkMagic, LinkMagic will run in Demo mode. This means that it will perform all of its functions, but it will not make any changes to your existing system. LinkMagic will tell you how many links it WOULD fix, not how many it DID fix. This provides a method for you to test the operation of LinkMagic on your data. The is no time limit to the length of running in demo mode and it will tell you, after each process,  what it would or could repair if licensed. The demo runs at the same speed as the licensed version but is non-intrusive (it won't change your GoldMine). 

Licenses of LinkMagic: 
Licenses of LinkMagic are offered to End User systems only. These licenses are tied to the GoldMine master serial number for which it is issued. LinkMagic will only run on the GoldMine system that it is licensed for, but will work with any un-docked license of that system as well.

Each GoldMine serial number must have it own LinkMagic License to be fully functional. LinkMagic licenses are specific to your GoldMine license. This means that you can run LinkMagic on any installation of GoldMine that has the same ‘This product is licensed to:’ information on its Help/About Screen as the GoldMine system that you registered LinkMagic to.

A license of LinkMagic entitles you to free updates for a year from the date of purchase. After that, we no longer offer an update for your version of LinkMagic. At that point, you can obtain your updates by contacting LaDara Enterprises at (503) 788-7789 or sending an email to sales [at] LinkMagic [dot] net for a charge of $99.00 per license. 

If you have purchased a license and attempt to install it to a remote site with a site license of GoldMine (a “s” type), you may get an error that that ‘This License is for another GoldMine system”. That License, for the remote site, and the “Master License” are similar but not exactly the same. You may purchase an additional LinkMagic license, for your remote site, to add to your main license for a $50 processing fee for each remote site, so long as you have a main license already.

Buyers should note: Once the program is licensed, it is licensed. There are no refunds available once a license is purchased and issued. If you feel that you need to test the program beyond the scope of the demo functionality of the software, you should contact LaDara Enterprises for special licensing.

There is no “Not For Resell” (NFR) version for Link Magic.
If you decide to purchase the program, you can purchase it on-line or call LaDara Enterprises at (503) 788-7789. When you purchase the software, you will be sent a copy of the program and a Key Code via e-mail.

Multiple Installations:
LinkMagic can be installed on any number of workstations and used by any user you provide access to. The same license can be used on these workstations as long as they are accessing the same GoldMine installation and serial number for which the LinkMagic License was created for.

Caution should be taken when providing LinkMagic to users to use. LinkMagic can do irreparable damage to GoldMine’s link structure through improper use of LinkMagic's powerful tools. If they are not knowledgeable of the GoldMine data structure, filters, and SQL queries; you are advised to seek the assistance of LaDara Enterprises or a qualified GoldMine Partner.

Note: Link Magic is best used by someone with a working knowledge of GoldMine and of your network.  Always back-up GoldMine prior to using LinkMagic or any other tool that changes the content of your database!

The cost of a license is only $199.00 with free upgrades of any release for a year.
